In a new milestone not only for RPCS3, but the souls series in general. Whatcookie recently made a patch for Demon's Souls (DeS) allowing it to bypass the games 30fps cap and run at 60 and 120fps for the first time! Marking the first time any souls game has ever reached 120fps! UPDATE: The new v2.0 FPS patch fixes the pre-rendered cutscene so they no longer freeze on the first frame, and the FPS counters are now accurate as well. The v2.0 patch also no-longer requires you to change the "Clocks Scale" setting (leave it at 100). And for 60fps, you don't need to change the "Vblank Frequency" setting now either (leave it at 60 hz). We recommend everyone update to the new version linked below. You can find the new patch in our new patch manager. Simply right-click Demon's Souls in RPCS3 and open the game patches. Or go to Manage then Game patches and find it there. Just remember that the settings required instructions are outdated now that the new v2.0 patch is out. If you're running the game at 120fps and run into geometry the players movement will be very slow until you stand-still and start moving again, so we don't recommend playing at 120fps. But you can change "Vblank Frequency" on the advanced settings tab to 120 if you want to try it out.
