I'm still alive and peeking out of my hermit cave to wave at you all!
First the difficult part.
We had another feline loss due to illness in early April 2024 and it hit me even harder with having lost Miss Twix just a few months prior. I'm not ready to talk about that in any respect, but I am getting close to being able to resume streaming. I know I haven't said the name of the feline in question, but it's still not something I can talk about yet. Please don't ask or speculate, because I'll tell you all what happened when I'm ready.
My first stream back I'll address the shareable reasons for the 7+ month MIA on my part. It's much to much to talk about here, but I will say that a lot has been going on inside my head as well outside of it. Mostly good (inside), bad/good (outside).
I'm hoping to bring everyone along on my journey to my new look/goals for my channel - I'm just spending a bit more time brainstorming and pondering how to best to start. What to change, what to remove, what to add. Experimental SusieQ and Dear Diary will be still happening, but it's now a part of what I'm long-term planning. SRP content, and gaming content will still be happening as well.
I've been learning a lot about both my flavor of AuDHD and how my brain works so I'm not going to promise a timeline on when I'll be back. We *all* know that is almost bound to be a missed date! ;)
What I will say is that the primary SusieQ hold up right now is three fold:
1. I continue to have low level covid fatigue (only?) that is continually hamstringing my attempts to become more active by hammering me down again with several days to weeks of post-exertional malaise (PEM) every time I get a little "over" enthusiastic. :( I'm slowly getting better at managing my energy levels. Two steps forward and one step back it seem though.
2. Part of my fatigue issues are due to about 30 years of undiagnosed sleep apnea. I've been using a device for about 6 weeks after two years of trying to get them to detect something messing up my sleep beside the known factors. While it has helped my energy levels somewhat, and my body does have a rested feeling to the bone that was wild to feel for the first few weeks (over abundance of cortisol being removed?), it wasn't the major difference I'd been hoping it would be - at least not yet. *cough* At least my body doesn't think I'm suffocating every 5 minutes when I'm "asleep", however, so that's a plus. :P
3. As a lucky recipient of the autism and ADHD genetic lotteries, I also won the side prize of insomnia. This is unlikely to get better, but I'm trying. Points 1 and 2 were / are NOT making that easy but a least I don't feel like a complete sleep failure because no matter what I did, things were only getting worse! (until point 2 was finally detected!).
As usual, I've gone on for longer than I'd planned. I hope to see you all again on stream soon as I can manage to sort myself out and feel ready.
I miss visiting with you all on stream, and I hope to resume in the near future!
